Born and raised in Kankakee, Illinois, Sarah Wroblewski has dedicated her life to helping others heal and grow through faith-based counseling. With a strong foundation in both social work and educational leadership, she brings over two decades of experience to the mental health field.

Sarah holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (2006) and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Olivet Nazarene University (2010). She spent 11 years working in the school system before transitioning to federal service, where she supported veterans navigating PTSD and trauma. In 2016, Sarah stepped into a new chapter—continuing the legacy of her mother, Lyda Shamblin, by taking over as owner of Christian Family Counseling Center.

Through her leadership, the center remains a place of hope, healing, and Christ-centered care. Sarah has also authored two Christian journals:

📘 Live Bold and In Love

📘 Live Bold in Hope and Strength

Sarah credits her success entirely to God, believing that every step in her journey was divinely placed. “Without God as the foundation of your life,” she says, “nothing else matters.”

Outside of her work, Sarah enjoys spending time with her husband of 21 years, Rich, and their two children, Elizabeth and Jonathan. She also loves gardening and playing with her dogs.

Sarah is a proud member of the National Association of Social Workers and continues to serve the Kankakee community with compassion, wisdom, and unwavering faith.
